Luther Burbank produced this amazingly beautiful plant.  The flowers are pure white and have exquisitely recurved petals; the parents are C. powellii 'Alba' and C. macowanii.  Each scape produces many flowers, but the flowers can be short-lived, especially in hot sun; however, the numerous flowers open over a week or two.  Fully open flowers are pendant, and astonishing in contrast to the buds which emerge pointed upwards only to hang down as they open.
