Elizabeth Traub

‘Elizabeth Traub’ was named for the wife of the Mr. Hamilton Traub, the hybridizer. It is a large plant, that produces many magenta-pink flowers on tall scapes 40-50 inches tall. Mr. Traub reported that the parent plants were ‘Cecil Houdyshel’ and ‘Ellen Bosanquet’. It has not produced seeds for Marcelle Sheppard, but it is a reliable bloomer, especially in early summer.
Flowering-sized bulbs are reportedly hardy to 5 degrees F (-15 C) if provided with good drainage, mulched, and given a sunny location.
