Crinum clone 'River Forks'

Crinum clone 'River Forks'

This clone came to Marcelle through the help of a friend, Dorothy Lange.  Dorothy and Marcelle were visiting yet another lady, a friend of Dorothy's, who lives near the fork of the Neches and Angelina Rivers.  On that visit they found 'River Forks' growing in the garden.

'River Forks' had come to Texas from Louisiana, through one or more transfers of ownership.  The trail leads back to a nursery in Sulphur, LA, but the precise origins of this clone are unknown.

The flowers are clear of color, with good subtance and quite large. This plant increases easily in the garden; it does not make stolens but does offset readily.
